How to Enrol
You’ve decided to take the next step and enrol.
Please find below the steps to enrol if you are applying for:
- A Student Loan Placement
- A Self Funded Placement
- An International Student Placement
If you are wanting to apply for a Student Loan Placement on our next intake, please follow the steps below:
Step 1. Ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Completed NCEA Level 2 English
- Are 18 years old or older
- Obtained your Private Pilot Licence
- Completed ADAPT Pre-Screening Tool
- Obtained a Class 1 NZCAA Medical
Step 2. Contact our Enrolments team to arrange a formal interview. Please ensure you bring a current pilot CV, Logbook, ASL results and references
Step 3. Ardmore Flying School will advise in writing the outcome of your application. If successful, they will advise study details for you to apply to Studylink.
If you are wanting to apply for a Self Funded Placement on our next intake, please follow the steps below:
Step 1. Complete the information request form on our Contact Us page to obtain an information pack.
Step 2. Collect the supporting documentation as listed below:
- NCEA results
- CV or Resume
- Copy of your Passport/Birth Certificate
and attach these with your completed enrolment form.
Step 3. Submit these to our enrolments team who will then supply you with payment details. You will need to pay for your first course to complete your enrolment.
If you are wanting to apply for an International Student Placement on our next intake, please follow the steps below:
Step 1. Email email@example.com to obtain an international enrolment package
Step 2. Complete the international enrolment application form and attach the following supporting documentation:
- A copy of your Passport
- Evidence of completion of high school
- Evidence of English Language Level through IELTS / TOEFL / TOEIC
Step 3. Email your application and supporting documentation to our enrolments team.
Step 4. Pay the deposit as outlined on page 2 of the international enrolment application form
Step 5. Once the enrolments team has received both your application and payment, the school will send you a letter of placement offer. This letter is to be used to apply for your student visa at your nearest New Zealand embassy www.nzembassy.com. The enrolments team can assist you with your application.
Step 6. Once your student visa has been allocated, please arrange your travel to New Zealand. You need to arrive a minimum of 4 days prior to the commencement of the course. Please inform the enrolments team of your travel and if you are requiring accommodation.
Step 7. Once you have arrived in New Zealand, an airport transfer will be waiting. The orientation day will be on the Friday before the course and the school will arrange for you to complete your NZ CAA Medical Class 1 if you do not already have one.
