Diploma In Aviation

Ardmore Flying School

The aviation industry of the future will increasingly demand from aviation colleges and schools:

  • Graduates who are technically well qualified and whose skills are fully documented
  • Professionals with an increasing range of pre-employment skills and knowledge
  • Comprehensive statements of individual achievement.

Ardmore Flying School is approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority to offer its own diploma course. The fact Ardmore Flying School has obtained diploma status for its own courses is a good indication as to how its training programmes and facilities are viewed by the authorities.

The titles DIPLOMA and DEGREE are protected by New Zealand law and in applying for course approval and accreditation, Ardmore Flying School has assured NZQA (which will closely monitor our courses thus giving quality assurance) that teaching and assessment will be at diploma level.

Ardmore Flying School's Diploma in Aviation (endorsed) addresses industry needs by:

  • Moving towards standards based assessment which will provide more detailed information on students achievement
  • Teaching unit standards approved by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of New Zealand and based on the CAA exam syllabuses
  • Increasing the depth of student involvement rather than the breadth in each of the units taught
  • Developing links to a local Polytechnic's Advanced Aviation Management Degree course
  • Ardmore Flying School Diploma unit standards documenting course quality to NZQA's exacting standards
