Ardmore Flying School has been training pilots since 1961 and is recognised internationally as a quality facility, providing consistently high standards in all aspects of flight training. Ardmore Flying School is New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) approved and holds the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (NZ CAA) Part 141 approval for flight training. This allows them to provide a Diploma in Aviation as well as licensing at all levels.
Our fully integrated flight training programs transforms students into strong, decisive, skilled pilots capable of operating at the highest levels in the commercial and corporate sector. Ardmore Flying School provides international and domestic students with a solid foundation in all the critical areas of aviation theory and flight skills, but also teaches you how to work effectively in the constantly changing environment of the skies.

- Our instructors who bring a wealth of experience, including an ‘A’ Category instructor with over 40 years of experience in fixed wing instruction.
- Our large, modern fleet of fixed wing includes seventeen ‘R’ model Cessna 172 aircraft.
- Our use of Aviation Simulation Technology and a policy of one-on-one training makes Ardmore Flying School one of the few schools in the Pacific Rim able to offer personalised programs using new aircraft.
